Traditionnel irlando-écossais (titre originel : "Horo, My Nut Brown Maiden").

Note :

Chanson initialement gaélique traduite par un professeur du nom de John Stuart Blackie (1809-1895).

A son époque, Blackie s'est rendu compte qu'il fallait redonner vie à la musique traditionnelle et surtout en convaincre ses pairs. Ces dernier qualifiaient l'héritage musical écossais traditionnel de "vulgar". Ce n'était aucunement justifié aux yeux de Blackie car cette musique, véritable art poétique, est à la fois d'une beauté simple et d'une grande clairvoyance, bien que venant pourtant de gens dits "simples".
